This box focuses on what life was like for people living in the Medieval period, and provides the opportunity for pupils to explore this topic through wearing costume during role play and handling artefacts which represent everyday Medieval life. Its ideal as both an introductory resource as well as supporting learning about Britain beyond 1066.
Ideal for use with Key Stage 3, however it can also be used with Key Stage 2 as part of a broader history study.
Key learning objectives
- History: To enable pupils to explore what life was like in Medieval Britain (beyond 1066) by handling replica artefacts, wearing costume and taking part in group activities.
- Speaking and Listening:To encourage pupils to work effectively as a member of a group using speaking and listening skills.
