The Stepping Stones programme promotes positive mental health and provides regular opportunities for young people to use creativity to build emotional resilience.  The high-quality programmes are delivered by professional artists and held in Hampshire Cultural Trust venues.

Joining the programme will boost confidence, communication and social skills. It is fun, can make you feel great and is a great way to meet other young people in a safe and supportive space.

Over the course of 2024 experienced artists will lead sessions that are tailored to young people (aged 11-17) on their individual journey.

They will provide opportunities to engage in new artistic experiences, using art as an outlet to channel energy and express their emotions, and providing a chance to create something that provides a sense of achievement.

We are running a 10 week programme at the Allen Gallery in Alton from Saturday 16 March - Saturday 01 June, 10.30am - 12.30pm.  (No sessions on 30 March or 06 April).

The programme will be delivered by artist facilitator Jill Maguire and will focus on ceramics and the natural world, utilising the wonderful collection and garden at the Allen Gallery.

This programme is free of charge and all materials will be provided.

To be eligible for this programme you need be aged 11 – 17 years.
