School visits

School groups are welcome at all of our museums and heritage sites for expert-led and self-led sessions.

Our museums are full of the kind of things that really excite children and our expert-led sessions using real artefacts and specimens are designed to enrich and enhance children's learning and thinking skills. Our expert-led sessions cover a wide range of topics for pre-school and Key Stage 1 and 2, with a more limited service for Key Stage 3 and 4.

We can provide a wealth of opportunities for giving children fantastic experiences in many areas of the New Primary Curriculum.  To find out more download our new guide:
